CLEANING
 | Keep the waterline of your pool clean.
|
Dust and dirt from the air can combine with body and suntan oils to form a
residue at the waterline which can over a short period of time bake into the liner during
hot summer days which can cause the liner to prematurely harden and crack especially where
sun exposure is greatest. Corners are hard to clean, make an extra effort to keep them
clean before they get away from you.
 | Do not use abrasives such as sharp bristle brushes or steel
wool to clean your waterline.
|
Your liner has a special transparent topcoat that could be harmed with
their use. Abrasive cleaners or chemicals are also not allowed. Instead, use a
sponge and a small amount of mild detergent or household cleaner.
 | Vacuum your pool bottom to keep dirt from accumulating and
clinging to the liner.
|
Be careful that your vacuum head is specifically for vinyl liner pools or
that has no sharp edges that could harm the liner. Don't use too much force that
could harm the liner.
 | Run your filter system at least four hours per
day during
warm weather.
|
Clean your filter regularly. Impurities allowed to build up in your
filter will shorten its life and not clean your water properly.
 | Automatic pool cleaners do a great job of keeping your pool
free of dirt and debris.
|
They work off of the pump motor that you already have.
 | Some algae staining may appear if water chemistry is not
properly maintained.
|
It will usually clear up after proper maintenance.
