Air is kept in the dome by the use of an air skirt that's attached to the cable hem at the base of the wall. The air skirt lies on the deck and forms a very effective air trap in even the worst of weather.

Pools without concrete decks can sometimes be accommodated. A wood deck presents the potential problem of not achieving a good air seal because of air escaping through the cracks in the deck. We have found that by placing indoor-outdoor carpeting down on the deck will usually prevent any air leakage. The anchoring system also can be placed on smooth dirt or grass as long as the entire area is level. Stakes are then used instead of the anchors.
